‘Ministry and Technology: How iPhones, the Web, and Biotech Are Changing the Pastoral Landscape’
Wednesday, October 17 at 10 AM EST
Like it or not technology changes how we interact with the world and view the world. From iPhones to MySpace to nanotechnology to scores of web-based applications, not only does technology change the world, but it also changes us.
In this call we will examine the impact of advancing technology on ministry in two arenas. First, the impact of technology for doing the job of pastoring. Second, the impact of technology in the lives of those we minister to.
Questions we will cover include:
What is Web 2.0 and why should pastors care?
What technological tools can help pastors pastor better?
Are there any technological advances that are creating obstacles for ministries?
What ethical questions arise through advances in biotechnology?
Questions and comments prior to the call are welcomed and encouraged. You can email Jay Kelly at jaymichaelkelly@gmail.com.

2. Societal values are changing radically with younger generations placing increasing importance on economic success, which they have come to expect and thus demand it. Generation X and Millennials will have major impacts on the future.
